Our Services
Everything your body needs,
under one roof
Gonstead chiropractic, medical massage with cupping, Tuina, pelvic floor physical therapy, fascial stretch therapy, skincare, and coaching connections — some on staff, some independent practitioners sharing the space.
Gonstead Chiropractic
The foundation of everything we do. Gonstead is one of the most specific hands-on techniques in chiropractic. We take the time to show patients their X-rays, identify exactly where the interference is, and adjust by hand — no twisting, biomechanically safe for all ages.
Best for: Adults with chronic pain, athletes, anyone who's tried other chiropractors and not felt the results stick
Pediatric Chiropractic
Most people don’t realize chiropractic has anything to do with newborns. They come to us not for back pain but for acid reflux, latching issues, chronic ear infections, torticollis, and colic. We don’t claim to heal, cure, or treat any of these — we remove the nerve interference and allow the body to do the healing.
Best for: Newborns, infants, children of all ages
Prenatal Chiropractic
Care for expecting mothers through every trimester. Specific Gonstead adjustments throughout pregnancy.
Best for: Expecting mothers at every stage
Extremity Care (TMJ, Shoulders, Knees, Ankles)
Dr. Quan earned her Gonstead Extremity Certification in 2009. That qualifies her to care for patients with TMJ (temporomandibular joint syndrome) and patients experiencing shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, or ankle discomfort — not just spine.
Best for: Patients with TMJ; shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, or ankle discomfort
Medical Massage — Cupping
Wila is a Q Wellness medical massage therapist who incorporates cupping into targeted therapeutic bodywork rather than using cups for the entire visit.
Best for: Patients with muscle tension, chronic tightness, recovery needs, or bodywork needs where cupping may help
Medical Massage — Tuina
Master Yan specializes in Tuina, a 5,000-year-old Chinese technique used to help break up scar tissue and adhesions and improve tissue mobility.
Best for: Patients with scar tissue, adhesions, restricted tissue mobility, or interest in Tuina bodywork
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
An independent pelvic floor PT shares our space and works with moms pre-, during, and post-pregnancy.
Best for: Mothers at every stage — planning, expecting, and postpartum
Fascial Stretch Therapy
An independent fascial stretch therapist works in the building — assisted stretching that targets the fascial system.
Best for: Athletes, desk workers, anyone with restricted mobility
Body Wax & Facial
An independent esthetician shares the space and offers body wax and facial services using clean products.
Best for: Patients who want skincare and waxing in the same wellness building
How a Gonstead visit actually works
The Gonstead system uses five criteria to figure out exactly what to adjust — and what to leave alone.
Step 01
X-ray analysis
Full-spine films when medically necessary, even when the complaint is in one area, so the doctor can see the whole structure. (We do not take X-rays during pregnancy.)
Step 02
Nervoscope
A heat-differential instrument guided down the spine, picking up uneven distributions of heat that can indicate inflammation and nerve pressure.
Step 03
Static palpation
Feeling the vertebral segments by hand to find edema, tenderness, or pain.
Step 04
Motion palpation
Feeling each joint to see whether it moves the way it should. Segments that don't move properly are the ones that get adjusted.
Step 05
Specific hands-on adjustment
Adjustments are made skin-to-skin by hand only. Segments that don't need adjusting are left alone. No tools, no twisting through clothing.
“Find it, fix it, and leave it alone.” — Dr. Clarence Gonstead
Frequently asked questions
What is Gonstead chiropractic?
Gonstead is one of the most specific hands-on techniques in chiropractic. The analysis uses five criteria — X-ray analysis, the Nervoscope (a heat-differential instrument), static palpation, motion palpation, and visualization. Adjustments are made by hand only, and segments that do not need to be adjusted are left alone. There is no twisting and no manipulation through clothing.
Is chiropractic safe for newborns and infants?
Gonstead adjustments are biomechanically safe for all ages. Newborns come to us for things like acid reflux, latching issues, chronic ear infections, torticollis, and colic. We do not claim to heal, cure, or treat those conditions — we remove nerve interference and allow the body to do the healing.
Can chiropractic help during pregnancy?
Yes. Dr. Quan specializes in caring for expecting mothers through every trimester. We do not take X-rays during pregnancy.
What should I expect on my first visit?
When you come in, we go through your X-rays with you and explain that chiropractic is about the nervous system — the brain, the spinal cord, and the nerves that supply every organ. Most patients we see have already tried other chiropractors or doctors, and Q Wellness is somewhat their last resort before doing something more invasive. The Gonstead approach is specific and easily explainable to anyone who walks in.
How is Q Wellness different from other chiropractors?
We're a wellness hub, not just a chiropractic office. Including Dr. Quan, the building brings together Dr. Jonathan Dai of Rising Path Chiropractic, Wila for medical massage with cupping, Master Yan for Tuina, Dr. Josephine Razon of Evolve Pelvic PT and Wellness, Ciara at Strength by Stretch, Lisa Ulshafer for life coaching, and Katya Waldner of Purely Pampered LV. Patients can take care of more of their whole body in one building.
Do you accept insurance?
Please call our office at (702) 858-8824 to discuss your specific insurance coverage and payment options.
Where is Q Wellness located?
Q Wellness & Family Chiropractic is at 5980 S. Durango Drive, Suite 113-114, Las Vegas, NV 89113 — in southwest Las Vegas near Durango Drive and the 215 beltway. The office is a short drive from IKEA, the Uncommons, and Downtown Summerlin, and serves patients throughout Spring Valley, Enterprise, Mountain's Edge, Summerlin, and Henderson.
Why does Q Wellness use X-rays for adjustments?
X-ray analysis is one of the five Gonstead criteria. The X-rays show exactly where any vertebral misalignment is — which segment, which side, which direction — so the adjustment is specific instead of a guess. Dr. Quan reviews every X-ray with the patient before any adjustment is made. We do not take X-rays during pregnancy.
What pediatric conditions do parents bring children in for?
Parents bring infants and children to Q Wellness for acid reflux, latching difficulties, chronic ear infections, torticollis, and colic. We do not claim to treat or cure those conditions. Gonstead adjustments are biomechanically safe for all ages, including newborns, and the goal is to remove nerve interference so the nervous system can supply every organ properly. The body does the healing.
Does Dr. Quan speak any languages besides English?
Yes. Dr. Julie Quan speaks English, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Patients who would prefer a non-English consultation are welcome to ask when they call.
