About Dr. Julie Quan
Las Vegas born. Las Vegas built.
Most people in Las Vegas came from somewhere else. Dr. Julie Quan grew up on the southwest side of the valley, went to UNLV, and came back to build a practice in the same neighborhood she was raised in. That's not a common story out here — and it's part of what makes Q Wellness different.
Roots
Julie's parents came to Las Vegas as Vietnamese refugees in 1979. Her mother worked two jobs to provide for the family. Watching that drive shaped everything about how Julie approaches her work — she was determined to build something that would take care of the people she loves.
At eleven years old, a car accident brought Julie and her mother into Dr. Michael Lin's chiropractic office. Dr. Lin was known as the youngest, most successful doctor in the Chinese community. His parents worked alongside him. Julie saw a young professional who had taken care of his family — and she decided right then that chiropractic was her path.
Training
After earning her bachelor's in kinesiology from UNLV, Julie followed Dr. Lin's footsteps to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. It was there that she discovered Gonstead — a specific, precise approach to chiropractic that changed everything she thought she knew about the profession.
She didn't just study Gonstead — she went deep. President of the Gonstead Club. More than twenty seminars before graduation. Extremity certification. Most chiropractors never go that far. For Julie, it wasn't optional. She'd seen a video of a young boy whose life had been changed by a Gonstead chiropractor in Idaho, and she knew this was what she wanted to bring back to Las Vegas.
The practice
Julie opened her first location in Las Vegas Chinatown in 2010 and moved to her current location at Durango and the 215 in January 2015 — before IKEA, before the Uncommons, before the Durango Resort. She was early, and she stayed. Fifteen years in the same community.
Today, Q Wellness is a hub for multiple wellness practitioners. Medical massage therapists, a pelvic floor PT, a fascial stretch therapist, another Gonstead chiropractor — all under one roof. Patients can take care of their whole body in one visit. Kids are welcome. Toys are out. There's a wall of photos of the pediatric patients who've come through, and it tells you everything you need to know about the kind of practice this is.
Philosophy
"Our body is the best doctor in the world. We remove the nerve interference and allow the body to do the healing — because it can heal, if given the opportunity to."
Julie doesn't claim to heal, cure, or treat. She works with the nervous system — the brain, spinal cord, and the nerves that supply every organ in the body. When there's interference, the body can't do its job. Remove the interference, and the body does the rest.
That's why newborns come to Q Wellness — not for back pain, but for acid reflux, latching issues, chronic ear infections, torticollis, and colic. That's why adults who've tried everything else finally find results here. The approach is specific, the adjustments are gentle, and the results are real.
Community
Julie doesn't just refer patients to other healthcare providers — she connects people to local bakeries, restaurants, hairstylists, attorneys, realtors, and kid entrepreneurs. She's a connector in the truest sense. Born and raised here, still here, still building.
Her mom is 72 now. She lives right down the road from the office. She loves it.
